Happy 62nd Birthday to me! (March 15, 2018)

Sheila was the first of my good friends to stop by today. Just as soon as Sheila left, then came Elizabeth. Elizabeth hung out long enough for us to order some pizza from ZaLat for an early dinner. Jan. 13, 2018

It may be cold outside but the sun is out and bringing its warmth inside my condo. I don’t think I’ve mentioned this in awhile but I love this condo. It’s truly been my refuge. It’s also my sanctuary. I feel very comfortable and comforted within these walls. And, I’m grateful for the people who live and work outside of these condo walls who have come to my aid. All and all, I feel truly blessed. Yes, broke leg and all, I feel blessed, cared for and loved. So a broke leg ain’t all that bad. But that doesn’t mean I’m not ready to get moving again, because I am.I didn’t know when I began quilting more than 25 years ago, that these quilts would bring both warmth and comfort during my healing time at home. I’ve really enjoyed wrapping myself up in these quilts and even using some of them to elevate my leg. Jan. 16, 2018

This is Diane in Dr. Curry’s office and she’s the reason I got in to see the doctor so soon after I hurt myself. Thank you so much Diane for fitting me into Dr. Curry’s schedule so quickly. Jan. 17, 2018

Two months of splints and casts and now I’m in a boot for at least the next two months as I do what needs to be done to get my right leg stronger and get myself walking on both feet again. (Jan. 17, 2017)
