Although it was not at this current and modern Town Hall in Eatonville, Florida, 27 African-American men, on Aug. 15, 1887 gathered at the “town hall” and cast their votes to form the first town to be organized, governed and incorporated by African-American citizens in the country. (Aug. 9, 2020)

Ross-Lyle one of the planes on Sept. 11, 2001 crashed in Pennsylvania. Ross-Lyle was a police officer with the Fort Pierce Department for six years before becoming a flight attendant. The flight crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, during an attempt by the passengers and crew to regain control and prevent an even worse tragedy. (Aug. 22, 2020)
