It completes the story of Michael Corleone, a Mafia kingpin living in the U.S., who attempts to legitimize his criminal empire by various characterless acts, travels to Palermo to see how son, Anthony perform in an opera tale of murderous revenge in a Sicilian setting. Meanwhile, during the performance, a sniper kills three members of Michael’s security and attempts to kill him outside the opera house, but unintentionally kills Michael’s daughter, Mary.
