Italy Day 46: Day trip from Alberobello to Locorotondo
I love getting lost in a place you really cannot get lost in and that’s the case for Locorotondo, a town built between the 9th and 7th centuries BC in the province of Bari in the Puglia region.
A mere 15 minute bus ride from Alberobello with a green stretch of countryside dotted by cone-roofed trulli houses until you reach this white-washed town that gets its name from its round shape. The name derives from the Latin “Loco” place and “Rotondo” rounded.
Come join me for a stroll through the beautiful white-washed town of Locorotondo.
